People are constantly reaching out to us, hoping to surrender animals they can no longer care for, and the calls are truly never ending.
Some are overwhelmed by unexpected life changes, others are facing financial hardship, and many simply didn’t realise the lifelong commitment their animals required.
Each message tells a story of someone struggling and an animal caught in the middle, hoping for safety and stability. While we do everything we can to help, the demand always outweighs the space and resources we have. It’s a constant reminder of how important responsible care and long term planning are for every animal’s wellbeing.
Then we have the lost or stray animals, ones found wandering on the road, abandoned on properties, or simply left behind. These animals often arrive scared, confused, hungry, and unsure of who to trust.
Many have never known kindness, while others clearly once belonged to someone who never came back for them. Each stray brings another layer of urgency to the work we do, because they don’t just need a place to stay they need safety, patience, veterinary care, and the chance to feel secure again.
Their stories remind us that behind every “found” animal is a history we may never fully know, but a future we can still change.
